DAY 40: Leaving a Legacy

Congratulations! You've done it! You have finished The 40-Day Challenge.

Tell Pillar The apostle Paul wrote this to his young friend Timothy, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. And now the prize awaits me… which the Lord will award me… on the great day of His return.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

What a great “legacy” Paul left to young Timothy. A “legacy” is something that is handed down to those who come after you. What an awesome “legacy” you are leaving for those who come after you, a “legacy” of Blessing, Praying, Serving, and Telling. For you, the “legacy” is still in process, it doesn't end with The 40-Days. What will you do with the rest of this school year? What will you do with the rest of your life?
  • Your final assignment for The 40 Day Challenge is to write a "Legacy-Letter" to God and yourself—a sort of prayer letter. (You may use the "Legacy-Letter" page on page 56 of your Journal.) It is a letter that will describe what you would like to see God accomplish in and through your life for the rest of this year. What do you believe God wants you to do personally to grow in your relationship with Him? What does God want you to do for The Kingdom to impact this world for Jesus Christ?
  • Seal your letter in an envelope addressed to yourself. Ask your Youth Leader if there could be a place in your church worship service today that you and others finishing the could bring their "Legacy-Letters" to the altar. Ask your youth leader to collect the envelopes and return them to you just prior to the start of the year.
Don't forget to take the Survey.
